A peaceful day at Canary Beach in Al Hanouville, Alexandria, turned deadly for 27-year-old Rania following a violent altercation over seating arrangements. The conflict reportedly ignited when a 17-year-old beach worker confronted Rania’s 15-year-old brother, Abdel Wahab, regarding where the family had set up their spots near the water. The situation quickly escalated from a verbal disagreement into a physical confrontation.

When Rania stepped in to protect her brother and de-escalate the fight, the situation took a fatal turn. According to reports, the worker allegedly pushed Rania to the ground, and upon her attempt to stand back up, he struck her in the head with a heavy wooden beach umbrella pole. The blow rendered her unconscious, and despite being rushed to the hospital, she tragically succumbed to her injuries. Local authorities, including the Dekheila Prosecution, have launched a formal investigation into the incident to hold those responsible accountable for the senseless loss of life.
