Saudi Arabia Recalls Thousands of Toyota Camrys Over Dashboard Safety Concerns

Tue, Aug 25, 2026(2h ago)World

The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has officially issued a recall for 84,639 Toyota Camry vehicles, specifically those produced for the 2025 and 2026 model years. This safety measure was prompted by a significant defect discovered in the instrument panel system, which could lead to critical information failing to display on the dashboard. Beyond just the screen display, this glitch reportedly interferes with essential safety alerts, including turn signals, seat belt warnings, ignition alerts, and various warning lights, all of which pose a heightened risk for drivers on the road.

To address this issue, authorities are urging all Camry owners to verify if their vehicle is affected by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) into the official Recalls.sa platform. This notice is part of a broader series of safety initiatives currently being managed by the Saudi government, which has recently overseen recalls for other manufacturers, including Chevrolet and Audi, due to various mechanical and electronic flaws. Officials emphasize that checking for these updates is a vital step in maintaining vehicle safety and preventing accidents across the kingdom.
