In a significant operation targeting medical fraud, the Hyderabad Task Force Police recently apprehended 12 individuals across Jubilee Hills and Secunderabad for operating clinics without valid medical credentials. These suspects had been running unauthorized practices, where they were found administering injections, prescribing medication, and providing intravenous fluids to unsuspecting patients despite lacking any formal medical training or government-issued licenses. Among those taken into custody was a woman who had managed to operate an illegal clinic for nearly four years using only a background in paramedical training.

During the raids, authorities confiscated a wide range of medical supplies, including surgical instruments, blood pressure monitors, and various pharmaceuticals. Investigations revealed that these fraudulent clinics were surprisingly busy, with some practitioners seeing as many as 100 patients daily and charging modest fees for their services. Local police have since registered formal cases against all 12 individuals, and a broader investigation is currently ongoing to determine the full extent of the risk posed to the community.
