A devastating road accident in central Zimbabwe has claimed the lives of at least 27 people after a church minibus collided head-on with a haulage truck. The incident occurred on Friday evening near Chivhu, located roughly 140 kilometers south of Harare, as the worshippers were traveling to attend a religious conference. According to police reports, the disaster unfolded when the truck attempted to overtake another vehicle, striking the minibus in the process. In addition to the fatalities, seven people sustained injuries, and authorities are still working to account for the total number of passengers involved in the wreck.
