Through formal communications sent to the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council, Doha asserted that Iran’s missile and drone strikes—which have targeted residential areas and critical infrastructure—constitute clear violations of the UN Charter. Qatari officials pointed out that Iran is selectively interpreting security documents and misapplying definitions of aggression to deflect accountability for their actions. Furthermore, Doha emphasized that the impact of these attacks on civilians and infrastructure is thoroughly documented in official filings, rejecting any narrative that seeks to diminish the severity of the strikes or the resulting injuries to civilians, including children.

Beyond the immediate military strikes, Qatar has demanded that Iran cease its disruptive activities in the Strait of Hormuz, maintaining that the freedom of maritime navigation is a fundamental international right. Doha underscored that no invocation of self-defense can excuse the targeting of commercial vessels or the obstruction of international waterways. As Qatar continues to compile evidence of the damage caused by these hostilities, it has formally reserved its right to seek full compensation from Iran for the losses incurred. Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari reiterated that Qatar remains committed to de-escalation and regional stability, firmly maintaining its position as a neutral party that will not be held responsible for the consequences of Iran's regional aggression.
