Kuwait Authorities Take Strict Action Against Reckless Driver

Sun, Sep 6, 2026(2h ago)World

Kuwaiti authorities have taken decisive action against a motorist following the circulation of a viral video that captured him operating his vehicle in a dangerously reckless manner. After launching an immediate investigation, the General Traffic Department successfully identified and arrested the individual, who has since been transferred to the Central Prison. To ensure public safety and emphasize a zero-tolerance policy, the department also ordered the permanent disposal of the man's vehicle.

Under Article 33 of Kuwait’s traffic laws, such behavior—which puts both the driver and the public at significant risk—is a serious offense punishable by up to three years in prison and heavy fines ranging from 600 to 1,000 dinars. Furthermore, the law grants the courts authority to seize and confiscate any vehicle involved in such criminal activity. Officials have made it clear that they remain committed to protecting the community and will continue to deal harshly with anyone who chooses to endanger lives on the road.
