A devastating road accident in western Iran resulted in a major tragedy on Saturday when a fuel tanker ignited and exploded on the Hamedan-Sanandaj Highway. According to reports from state media, the incident claimed the lives of ten individuals, while six others were left injured by the intense blast.

Local officials, including the governor of Sanandaj, indicated that the catastrophic crash was triggered by a mechanical failure within the vehicle's braking system. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, and authorities have since confirmed that the resulting blaze has been successfully contained.
