Saudi Arabia Recalls Thousands of Genesis Vehicles Over Fire Hazard
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has officially issued a recall for 4,464 Genesis vehicles due to a concerning manufacturing defect that could lead to fuel leaks. The issue stems from the improper installation of a fuel cross-pipe nut, which may loosen over time and fail to secure the fuel line correctly. Because this potential leak poses a significant fire hazard, the ministry has urged owners of affected models—which include various configurations of the GV70, GV80, G80, and G90 produced between 2021 and 2026—to take immediate action.
To determine if their specific vehicle is impacted, owners are encouraged to visit the official Recalls.sa platform and enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). This precautionary measure is part of a broader regulatory effort in the Kingdom to ensure road safety, following recent major recalls involving thousands of Chevrolet and Toyota vehicles earlier this summer. Authorities advise affected drivers to verify their status promptly to ensure any necessary repairs are handled by authorized service centers.
