Qatar has officially condemned a series of recent Houthi strikes targeting civilian and economic sites across several Saudi Arabian cities, including Abha, Jazan, and Najran. These attacks, which impacted energy facilities and resulted in injuries to civilians—including women and children—have been labeled by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a dangerous escalation. Beyond the inland strikes, Qatar also voiced strong opposition to the ongoing harassment of commercial shipping in the Red Sea, noting that such actions undermine global maritime security and violate international law.

In its formal statement, the Qatari government underscored that the security of Saudi Arabia is inextricably linked to the stability of the entire Gulf region. The ministry urged the international community to take decisive steps to uphold UN Security Council resolutions, specifically those concerning the conflict in Yemen and the protection of international waterways.
