In two separate enforcement operations, officials seized eight vehicles in the first incident and thirteen in the second, ultimately sending them to the scrapyard. The Ministry of Interior confirmed that these actions are part of a broader effort to safeguard public resources and send a clear message to those who facilitate criminal activity.

Investigations uncovered a scheme where vehicle owners were leasing their equipment for a fixed monthly fee, fully aware that the tankers would be used to illegally collect, transport, and sell stolen state-subsidized fuel. By knowingly allowing their property to be used for these illicit operations, the owners became complicit in the theft. Following the completion of all legal procedures and a referral to the Public Prosecution, the government moved to destroy the equipment to deter future criminal behavior and reinforce the rule of law across the nation.
