Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled appearance at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai, authorities apprehended two individuals at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. The security breach involved a 24-year-old man who reportedly attempted to gain access by falsely claiming to be an official from the Prime Minister's Office. He was accompanied by an associate acting as a bodyguard, who was found to be in possession of a firearm at the time of the detention.

Following the arrests, the Mumbai Police promptly handed the case over to the Crime Branch for a comprehensive investigation. While security forces remain on high alert, the Prime Minister proceeded with the inauguration of the seventh edition of the Global Fintech Fest, a premier international conference for the financial technology sector.
