CBSE Addresses Technical Glitches in Answer Sheet Applications

Sun, May 24, 2026(45d ago)World

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently issued an advisory regarding technical errors that occurred on May 21 and 22 during the application process for scanned answer booklets. Students who experienced incorrect fee deductions have been assured that any overpayments will be automatically refunded to their original payment source, while those undercharged will be contacted to settle the balance. The board has emphasized that candidates do not need to submit new requests, as the processing of their scanned copies remains unaffected by these billing discrepancies.

To prevent future technical hurdles, India's Education Ministry has mobilized a specialized team of experts from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur to fortify the board’s IT infrastructure, focusing specifically on payment gateways and login security. Furthermore, the CBSE has officially dismissed circulating rumors regarding the cancellation of the re-evaluation process. In an effort to support students, the board has also implemented several relief measures, including fee reductions, a full refund policy for successful re-evaluation claims, and an extension of the application deadline to May 24.
