King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has officially begun the gradual transition of international flights to its brand-new Terminal 4. Starting Sunday, September 27, carriers like Wizz Air, AJet, and SalamAir shifted operations to the facility, marking a key milestone in the airport's strategy to handle rising passenger numbers. Spanning 97,000 square metres, the terminal is designed to accommodate up to 15 million passengers annually and includes specialized infrastructure to streamline the check-in process for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

This expansion is a vital component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to significantly boost the airport’s annual capacity to over 90 million travelers following a record-breaking year that saw 53.4 million passengers served. As a phased relocation of various international airlines continues through early October, airport authorities are urging travelers to stay informed.
