Iran reports progress in US talks but warns no deal is near
Tehran has signaled that recent diplomatic exchanges with Washington have led to a shared understanding on several key issues regarding the ongoing regional conflict. According to foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei, both sides have successfully aligned their perspectives on a significant portion of the topics under negotiation. This development follows the implementation of a recent ceasefire, marking a potential shift in the complex dialogue between the two nations.
Despite this progress, Iranian officials have cautioned against expecting an immediate resolution. During a weekly press briefing, Baqaei emphasized that an official agreement remains elusive, explicitly stating that no one should assume a formal deal is on the horizon. He further suggested that the lack of momentum is largely due to the United States frequently altering its stance throughout the negotiation process.
