Pakistan summons Indian diplomat over killing of two civilians at border
In a formal diplomatic move, Pakistan summoned the Indian chargé d'affaires on Saturday, October 3, to register a strong protest regarding the recent deaths of two Pakistani civilians. According to an official statement from Pakistan's foreign ministry, the individuals were allegedly killed by Indian border forces during incidents along the disputed frontier.
The summons highlights the ongoing tensions between the two nations as they continue to trade accusations over cross-border violence. Islamabad has condemned the incident as an unprovoked escalation and is calling for an immediate investigation into the actions of the Indian military personnel stationed at the border.
