Elon Musk’s Rebranding of SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI
Elon Musk has announced plans to rebrand his company's artificial intelligence division from SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI. The decision follows a recent push by President Donald Trump to shift national and global terminology, advocating for the term "super intelligence" over the more common "artificial intelligence." Musk confirmed the move in a brief exchange on his social media platform, X, after a user inquired about the potential update.
While Musk agreed to the change, he stopped short of providing specific details or a rollout schedule for when the company will officially adopt the new name. The shift aligns with remarks made by Trump during a UN General Assembly speech last month, where he argued that "super" is a more accurate descriptor for the technology. As of now, representatives for the AI unit have yet to provide further comment on the transition.
