Prince Andrew Takes Legal Action Against Thames Valley Police Over Epstein Inquiry
Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has initiated legal proceedings against the Thames Valley Police regarding his recent arrest. The former royal is challenging the legality of the police actions, which stemmed from a series of documents released by the U.S. Justice Department concerning the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Specifically, Andrew is seeking a judicial review regarding the search warrants that authorized authorities to raid his properties at the Sandringham Estate and the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
The investigation centers on allegations that Andrew may have leaked government documents to Epstein during his decade-long tenure as a special trade representative. Following his detention in February, the Duke of York was questioned by detectives throughout the day. While Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing and expressed regret over his association with Epstein, this new legal challenge represents his latest effort to contest the police department's investigation. Neither Buckingham Palace nor Thames Valley Police have provided an immediate comment on the ongoing legal matter.
