Strategic Military Pact: Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia Unite for Regional Security
In a significant move to bolster regional stability, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia have officially agreed to initiate the immediate deployment of military forces within the Kingdom. This decision, formalized during an emergency session of the Makkah Defence Alliance in Riyadh, underscores a collective commitment to defend Saudi territory against increasing external threats. According to a joint statement released by the Pakistani foreign ministry, the coalition will mobilize capabilities and personnel in strict accordance with the national laws and established protocols of all three participating nations.
The alliance was solidified following a series of aggressive actions against Saudi Arabia, most notably a recent strike by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on a power station in Madina that supplies electricity to the Prophet’s Mosque. By activating the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement—initially signed last August—the three countries have reaffirmed the principle that an attack on one member is effectively an assault on the entire coalition. This strategic partnership aims to project a united front in safeguarding both the Kingdom’s sovereignty and its sacred religious sites.
