Kuwait Police Foil Drug Distribution Attempt and Arrest Suspect
During a routine security patrol, Kuwaiti police successfully apprehended an individual suspected of involvement in drug trafficking. After becoming suspicious of the suspectâs behavior, officers conducted an on-site search that uncovered a significant cache of illicit items. The confiscated inventory included 23 Lyrica pills, several bags of unidentified white powder, 14 pieces of hashish, and roughly half a kilogram of marijuana, alongside essential tools for distribution such as precision scales and packaging materials.
The suspect, along with the seized narcotics, has been handed over to the appropriate legal authorities for further investigation. This arrest is part of a broader, ongoing initiative by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior to curb the distribution of illegal substances and protect the public, particularly the youth. The Ministry continues to emphasize the importance of community cooperation, urging citizens to report any suspicious activities through the 112 emergency hotline as they maintain their commitment to keeping local neighborhoods safe from drug-related crime.
