UAE Denounces Deadly Houthi Attacks on Saudi Airports

Fri, Oct 9, 2026(2h ago)World

The United Arab Emirates has issued a firm condemnation of the recent Houthi strikes targeting Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia. These aggressive acts resulted in the tragic loss of three lives—individuals from Morocco, Algeria, and Sudan—while leaving dozens of other civilians wounded. In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized the assault as a brazen violation of Saudi sovereignty and a direct threat to the kingdom's broader security and regional stability.

In response to the tragedy, the UAE has reiterated its unwavering support for Saudi Arabia, backing all necessary measures the kingdom takes to protect its borders and ensure the safety of its people. Extending its deepest sympathies to the families of those killed, the Emirati government also offered its heartfelt wishes for a swift and full recovery to everyone injured in the attacks.
