Tragic Airport Attack in Riyadh Claims Life of Egyptian Flight Attendant
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the tragic death of 28-year-old flight attendant Azza Ramzi Mohamed Hassan following a violent attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. In response to the incident, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has mobilized the Egyptian Embassy and Consulate in Saudi Arabia to support the victims' families and assist in the repatriation of Hassan’s remains. Beyond this loss, officials are actively monitoring the conditions of five other Egyptian nationals who were injured during the assault and are currently receiving medical treatment under the supervision of Saudi authorities.
Cairo has issued a stern condemnation of the strikes on the airport, labeling them as flagrant violations of international law that threaten regional stability and endanger civilian lives. Demonstrating firm solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt expressed its full support for measures taken by Riyadh to protect its sovereignty and citizens. Meanwhile, the broader death toll from the attack, as reported by Saudi aviation authorities, has risen to 12 victims of various nationalities, leading to the ongoing suspension of airport operations and the temporary cancellation of all flights between Egypt and the Saudi capital.
