Kuwait Probes Reported Child Abuse Incident at Local Nursery
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs has launched a formal investigation following the emergence of a disturbing video on social media that allegedly shows a child being mistreated at a nursery. Acting Undersecretary Faisal Al Kandari confirmed that the probe is being conducted under the direct mandate of Minister Amthal Al Huwaila. Authorities have already begun the process of summoning the childâs parents alongside nursery management to clarify the details of the incident and determine the appropriate legal path forward.
Emphasizing that the safety and protection of children are non-negotiable, ministry officials have vowed to take stern action against any party found responsible for neglect or abuse. In light of this incident, the government has reminded all childcare facilities of the mandatory requirement to maintain active surveillance systems, a measure designed to ensure accountability and monitor the wellbeing of children. The ministry maintains that it will not tolerate any lapses in safety standards and is committed to ensuring that such violations are addressed with the full weight of the law.
