Sharjah Extends Helping Hand with New Village and Orphanage in Philippines
Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, recently traveled to the Philippines to lead a significant humanitarian mission in the Zamboanga del Sur province. During his visit to the municipality of Dinas, he officially opened the Dar Al Rahma Orphanage, a modern facility designed to house 50 children. The orphanage is well-equipped with essential amenities, including clean water systems, administrative offices, and a restaurant, while also featuring a computer lab and a sewing workshop to help orphans and local mothers build practical skills for their future.
In addition to the orphanage, the Deputy Ruler participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Al Reeh Al Mursala Village," an ambitious project funded by the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority and Sharjah Charity International. This new development will feature 60 homes alongside an artesian well to ensure reliable access to clean water. By providing housing and a vocational center, the project aims to foster long-term stability and economic independence for underprivileged families. This initiative reflects the UAE’s enduring commitment to global philanthropy, reinforcing a message of compassion that transcends cultural and geographic borders.
