Toyota Recalls Over 105,000 Vehicles Due to Potential Fire Hazard

Wed, Oct 21, 2026(1h ago)World

Toyota is issuing a safety recall for approximately 105,794 vehicles across the United States due to a concerning fuel leak issue. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall specifically affects certain 2024–2027 Land Cruiser Hybrid models. The primary concern is a fault in the fuel tube connection located near the tank, which could potentially disconnect and cause fuel to leak, significantly increasing the danger of a vehicle fire if it comes into contact with an ignition source.

To address this safety flaw, Toyota has directed its dealership network to step in and perform necessary repairs at no cost to vehicle owners. The authorized fix involves either installing a supplemental clamp to secure the connection or replacing the resin fuel tube entirely to prevent future leaks. Owners of the affected Land Cruiser models are encouraged to keep a close eye on official communications from the manufacturer to ensure their vehicles are serviced promptly.
