Tragic Casualties Reported Following Dammam Airport Attack
The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has confirmed the heartbreaking news that an Indian citizen was among those killed during a recent attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. In addition to the loss of life, two other Indian nationals sustained injuries in the incident, which occurred on Wednesday, October 21. Reports indicate that a total of eight individuals were wounded in the assault, with victims including nationals from Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Yemen, and Bangladesh.
Authorities have noted that the attack in the Eastern Province is part of a growing pattern of regional hostilities linked to the Houthi group in Yemen. While the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) confirmed that damage assessment is underway, they have also announced that airport operations have officially resumed. In an official statement, the Indian Embassy expressed its deepest condolences to the grieving families and stated that they are working closely with local authorities to provide support to those affected during this difficult time.
