India-US Trade Pact to Align with Washington’s Tariff Adjustments
Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal recently indicated that the ongoing trade negotiations between New Delhi and Washington will be adjusted to incorporate the latest modifications to the U.S. tariff structure. By keeping the legal framework of the agreement flexible, both nations aim to ensure the deal remains relevant and effective amidst shifting trade policies in the United States.
Goyal confirmed that the majority of the trade agreement has already been successfully ironed out. Currently, officials from both sides are working through the final technical nuances to bring the deal to completion, signaling a positive trajectory for economic relations between the two countries.
