CBSE Opens Verification and Re-evaluation Portal Following Security Delays

Tue, Jun 2, 2026(45d ago)World

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially launched its portal for Class 12 verification and re-evaluation as of June 2. The platform, which faced an initial delay due to technical glitches and cybersecurity precautions, is now accessible to students until midnight on June 6, 2026. To assist candidates in navigating the process, the board has provided a step-by-step instructional video and encouraged students to follow the application guidelines closely.

This rollout follows a period of uncertainty for students and parents after the portal missed its original June 1 launch date. In response to recent concerns regarding platform vulnerabilities, CBSE collaborated with government agencies and cybersecurity experts from IITs to bolster the security of the OnMark system. The board expressed its gratitude to ethical hackers and citizens who helped identify these weaknesses and remains available to assist any students encountering technical hurdles via their dedicated tele-counselling helpline or email support.
