The 42nd edition of the ‘Ramadan Nights’ exhibition at Sharjah Expo Centre kicked off with a bang, drawing thousands of shoppers eager to capitalize on massive discounts of up to 80% on a wide array of products. From luxury clothing and footwear to perfumes, accessories, abayas, homeware, and kitchenware, shoppers were spoiled for choice with prices starting as low as Dh5. This year’s event is part of the 35th Sharjah Ramadan Festival and features over 200 exhibitors showcasing more than 500 international and local brands.
Aisha Hammad, a mother of two, exemplified the excitement, stating, “We just came here to attend the inauguration, and casually window shop. But we ended up spending about Dh300.” She and her sister filled their trolleys to capacity, surprised by the affordability of luxury goods. “I have bought abayas, perfumes, and even home decor items, all at a fraction of their original cost. It’s a shopper’s paradise,” Hammad added.
The exhibition offers more than just shopping; it provides a complete cultural experience. Ahmed Khan, a resident of Al Majaz 3 in Sharjah, noted, “It’s not just about shopping. It’s a complete cultural experience. My kids are enjoying the kids corner.” The event includes an Iftar Corner with diverse local and international dishes, heritage-themed programs, interactive competitions, and a heritage village showcasing traditional products and folk-art performances.
Open daily from 5pm to 1am, the exhibition is a staple of the holy month, attracting over 150,000 visitors annually. This year’s edition aligns with the ‘Year of Community,’ celebrating the UAE’s rich cultural heritage while fostering family bonds and community spirit. Organized by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event has become a must-visit destination during Ramadan.
The festive atmosphere and unbeatable prices have made the ‘Ramadan Nights’ exhibition a highlight of the season. With its diverse offerings and cultural activities, it continues to draw visitors from across the region, offering a unique blend of shopping and cultural immersion.
