Sharjah Introduces App for Easy Parking Payments

Sharjah Municipality has unveiled a groundbreaking app called Mawqef, revolutionizing public parking management in the emirate. This innovative digital solution enables users to conveniently pay parking fees, check and settle fines, and access a range of parking-related services. The app’s user-friendly interface features interactive maps, making it effortless for residents and visitors to locate subscription zones and smart parking yards throughout Sharjah.

Mawqef offers a personalized experience for both individuals and businesses, with seamless integration through UAE PASS. Users can effortlessly issue and renew subscriptions for public parking and smart yards, ensuring a hassle-free parking experience. The app’s notification system keeps users informed about their parking usage and subscription renewals, promoting better time management and compliance with local regulations.

This launch aligns with Sharjah’s recent implementation of smart paid parking services, which began operations last month. The city now boasts 392 parking spaces across two smart parking areas in Al Khan and Al Nad, showcasing the emirate’s commitment to modernizing its urban infrastructure. These developments are part of a series of changes to Sharjah’s parking system that have been rolled out since the final quarter of 2024.

Mawqef represents a significant step forward in Sharjah’s digital transformation journey, streamlining parking management and enhancing the overall user experience. By leveraging technology to simplify everyday tasks, the app contributes to the emirate’s vision of creating a more efficient and user-friendly urban environment. As Sharjah continues to evolve its smart city initiatives, Mawqef stands as a testament to the municipality’s dedication to innovation and improved public services.
