The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Abu Dhabi has finalized its preparations for Ramadan, aiming to create a serene and comfortable environment for the increasing number of worshippers and visitors during the holy month. The mosque will open all its entrances, including the Peace Gate, Al Rahma Gate, Iman Gate, Coexistence Gate, and Al Noor Gate, allowing easy access for everyone. These gates will be open from the time of Maghrib prayer, ensuring that all can participate in the evening prayers and other activities.
To accommodate the large number of visitors, the centre has allocated over 8,000 parking spaces, with a significant portion reserved for women and people of determination. Additionally, more than 70 electric vehicles are available to transport worshippers and provide various services. Last year, the mosque welcomed approximately 1,604,170 worshippers and visitors during Ramadan, highlighting its importance as a cultural and religious hub.
In collaboration with Erth Abu Dhabi Hotel, the centre is set to provide over 35,000 iftar meals daily, reflecting its commitment to hospitality and community service. This initiative not only supports the spiritual needs of the community but also fosters a sense of unity and generosity, embodying the essence of Ramadan.
The mosque’s preparations underscore its role as a leading global destination, attracting visitors from diverse backgrounds. Its architectural beauty, combined with its cultural significance, makes it an iconic landmark in Abu Dhabi. During Ramadan, the mosque hosts various events and lectures, further enriching the spiritual experience for all attendees.
