WhatsApp Brings Liquid Glass Design to iPad
WhatsApp is finally rolling out its modern "Liquid Glass" interface to iPad users, mirroring the refreshed aesthetic that launched on the iPhone earlier this year. According to WABetaInfo, this update is currently reaching beta testers and a select group of stable app users, with a wider rollout anticipated in the coming weeks. The new design shifts the iPad experience to match the sleek, translucent visual language of modern iPadOS, utilizing floating elements and fluid animations to create a more immersive and cohesive interface.
The most significant visual change is the transition of the bottom tab bar into a floating, semi-transparent panel, which now relies on intuitive icons instead of traditional text labels. The navigation bar has also been refined to become more transparent as users scroll through their chats, ensuring a seamless visual flow. Across the entire app, buttons and menus have been updated with a frosted glass effect and subtle interaction animations. While Meta is releasing these changes in stages to ensure stability, this update marks a major step forward in unifying the look and feel of WhatsApp across all Apple devices.
