Oman Air to Resume Khasab Airport Operations Following Safety Review

Tue, Jun 30, 2026(3h ago)Business

Oman Air, in partnership with the Musandam Governorate, has officially announced plans to resume flight services to Khasab Airport. Operations had been put on hold since early March following regional airspace disruptions caused by conflict, but the national carrier is now working closely with the Civil Aviation Authority and local officials to bring the route back online. The focus remains on ensuring that every technical and safety requirement is met before commercial travel resumes.

Currently, the airline is conducting a series of test flights to verify the route’s readiness and technical efficiency. While a firm date for the return of scheduled passenger service has not yet been set, the airline is committed to a safe and smooth restart. Oman Air has expressed its gratitude for the public's patience and has promised to share further updates regarding the official flight schedule through its official communication channels.
