Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah has pledged AED 20 million to support the Fathers’ Endowment campaign, launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This campaign aims to establish a sustainable endowment fund to provide healthcare for the poor and needy, honouring fathers across the UAE. The initiative is part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and promotes values of compassion and solidarity by allowing donations in the name of fathers.
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign reflects the UAE’s strong culture of giving, particularly during Ramadan, and has seen significant community support. Previous Ramadan campaigns have consistently exceeded their targets, demonstrating the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian work. Al Naboodah noted that contributing to this campaign is an honour and part of a broader effort to empower underprivileged communities through sustainable healthcare access.
Donations to the campaign can be made through several channels, including the campaign’s website, Fathersfund.ae, a dedicated call centre at 800 4999, bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank, SMS donations, the DubaiNow app, and Jood.ae. These diverse donation options make it easy for individuals and institutions to contribute from both within and outside the UAE.
The campaign’s focus on establishing a sustainable endowment fund aligns with the UAE’s vision of becoming a global humanitarian leader. It also reinforces the importance of charitable endowments in providing essential services like healthcare to those in need. By honouring fathers and promoting philanthropy, the campaign strengthens family bonds and social solidarity, embodying the spirit of Ramadan and the Year of Community initiative.
As the campaign continues to grow, it invites everyone to contribute, fostering a community-wide movement that leverages charitable contributions for sustainable healthcare. This initiative not only supports local communities but also extends its impact globally, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian causes.
