Dubai’s skyline is set to be transformed by the Muraba Veil, an architectural marvel that emphasizes slenderness over height. Standing at 380 meters, this skyscraper will be uniquely designed to be just one apartment wide, making it one of the narrowest skyscrapers globally. Located along Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai Canal, the Muraba Veil boasts a striking width of only 22.5 meters, challenging traditional skyscraper designs and making a bold statement in urban architecture.
Designed by the acclaimed RCR Arquitectes, winners of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, this 73-storey tower will feature 131 luxurious apartments that span its entire width, offering breathtaking panoramic views from both sides. Residents will enjoy a wealth of amenities, including a spa, fine dining restaurant, art gallery, private cinema, and even a padel court. The building’s standout feature is its stainless steel “veil,” which gives it a sleek and contemporary appearance while reflecting local cultural elements.
Ibrahim Al Ghurair, managing director of Muraba, emphasized that the Muraba Veil is more than just a residence; it is a life-enhancing work of architecture that embodies the serenity found in traditional Arabic homes. The design incorporates elements reminiscent of traditional Arab houses arranged around an internal courtyard, fostering a tranquil living environment.
This project marks the fifth collaboration between Muraba and RCR Arquitectes over a decade-long partnership focused on harmonizing architecture with the natural landscape. Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectes, expressed their commitment to ensuring that their buildings resonate with their surroundings.
With apartment prices starting at Dh18 million, the Muraba Veil is poised to become an iconic symbol of luxury living in Dubai’s ever-evolving architectural landscape.
