UAE Leadership Expresses Deep Condolences Over Deadly Qatar Factory Explosion
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reached out to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, via a phone call on Tuesday to offer his heartfelt sympathies following a tragic explosion at an LNG facility in Ras Laffan. The blast, which stands as one of the most severe industrial accidents in recent memory, resulted in the loss of 13 lives and left dozens injured. During the conversation, Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the UAEâs firm solidarity with the Qatari people, while the Emir expressed his gratitude for the support and highlighted the enduring bond between the two nations.
In addition to the Presidentâs personal outreach, the top leadership of the UAEâincluding Vice President and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyanâformally expressed their condolences through official messages. The Rulers of the various Emirates, along with their respective Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers, also conveyed their sympathies, wishing a swift recovery to the many injured individuals from across several nations, including India, Pakistan, and various African and Asian countries. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs echoed these sentiments earlier, reaffirming the country's support for Qatar during this difficult time.
