UAE Extends Condolences Following Tragic Bus Collision in Syria

The United Arab Emirates has officially conveyed its heartfelt sympathies to the Syrian government and its citizens following a devastating bus accident on the Damascus-Deir Ezzor highway. Through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE expressed deep solidarity with the families of the deceased and offered prayers for the swift recovery of those who sustained injuries during the harrowing incident.

The tragic collision, which claimed the lives of 35 people and left another 30 injured, involved a vehicle carrying civilian passengers and another transporting members of the Internal Security Forces. In the wake of the disaster, rescue operations were swiftly mobilized, with the Syrian Defence Ministry deploying helicopters to transport the victims and survivors from Palmyra airport to a military hospital in Homs for urgent medical attention.
