Thu, Sep 10, 2026(1h ago)World

The UAE Search and Rescue Team is currently on the ground in Nepal, working tirelessly to support local authorities in the wake of the catastrophic floods that have devastated the region. Demonstrating remarkable expertise and operational readiness, the team successfully tracked down six missing individuals in the Trishuli area. Their ongoing efforts highlight the UAE’s commitment to providing critical aid during international crises and underscore the team’s ability to navigate and perform in complex, high-pressure environments.

To maximize the effectiveness of their search efforts, the team is deploying cutting-edge technology throughout the Rasuwa and Trishuli regions. By utilizing high-tech drones for aerial imaging and advanced 3D mapping, rescuers are able to reach difficult locations more efficiently. Hammoud Al Afari, the Director of UAE Relief Operations, confirmed that the team remains fully integrated with Nepalese authorities, focusing their specialized resources on locating those still missing and delivering essential humanitarian support to those suffering from the aftermath of the disaster.
