Lahore’s district administration issued a formal notification stating that she has been sentenced to 30 days in jail, citing intelligence reports that claim her involvement in public gatherings would endanger public safety.

The government has adopted a hardline stance against the upcoming demonstrations, with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi vowing that officials will take all necessary measures to prevent the march from proceeding. In response, PTI leadership and allies have condemned the move, with close associate Zulfi Bukhari labeling the detention as “despicable.” He suggested that the administration’s actions are motivated by an intense fear of the momentum surrounding the planned September 27 protest.
