Elon Musk Signals End for Tesla Cybertruck

Fri, Nov 6, 2026(52m ago)World

In a surprising development, Elon Musk recently announced that Tesla plans to phase out production of the Cybertruck at its Texas Gigafactory by mid-2027. This decision marks a significant pivot for the polarizing vehicle, which has struggled to meet the high sales expectations initially set by the company upon its launch.

The move is largely strategic, as Musk revealed on X that the factory needs to reallocate its manufacturing capacity. By winding down the Cybertruck assembly lines, Tesla intends to clear the necessary space to ramp up production of its upcoming Cybercab. This shift suggests that the company is prioritizing its autonomous vehicle future over the niche, experimental truck that has defined its manufacturing narrative for the past few years.
