UAE to Shine as Guest of Honour at 2026 Beijing International Book Fair
The United Arab Emirates is set to take center stage at the 32nd Beijing International Book Fair, running from June 17 to 21, 2026, as the official Guest of Honour. Announced simultaneously in Dubai and Beijing, this initiative underscores the UAEâs strategic commitment to fostering cultural dialogue and strengthening its long-standing partnership with China. Under the theme "Society and People," the country aims to showcase how it centers human development, creativity, and knowledge at the core of its vision for a sustainable future.
The centerpiece of this appearance will be the "UAE House," an immersive pavilion designed to reflect the nation's identity as a vibrant, multicultural society. Bringing together 29 national institutions, the pavilion will host over 20 panel discussions ranging from traditional topics like Arabic literature and heritage to modern frontiers such as artificial intelligence and digital publishing. By facilitating professional exchanges and highlighting historical tiesâfrom the ancient Silk Road to current technological collaborationsâthe UAE looks to cement its reputation as a global hub for cultural innovation and inter-civilizational connection.
