Between July 16 and July 23, Saudi Arabian security forces conducted a series of intensive nationwide operations, resulting in the arrest of 14,970 individuals for various residency, labor, and border security infractions. The breakdown of those detained includes 7,437 people violating residency laws, 3,542 labor law offenders, and 3,991 individuals caught breaching border security regulations. Furthermore, authorities intercepted 1,626 people attempting to enter the country illegally, the majority of whom were Ethiopian or Yemeni nationals, while 18 others were taken into custody for aiding or sheltering these offenders.

The Ministry of Interior continues to process the cases of over 30,000 expatriates currently in custody, with thousands already facing deportation. To curb these illegal activities, the Kingdom has implemented severe legal consequences for those who facilitate unauthorized entry, including potential prison sentences of up to 15 years, fines reaching SAR 1 million, and the seizure of assets used in the commission of these crimes. Officials are encouraging the public to report any suspicious activities through designated emergency hotlines, promising full confidentiality for those who step forward to help maintain national security.
