Sheikh Hamdan Leads UAE Delegation for Joint GCC Military Exercises
King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain recently welcomed Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, to the Kingdom. The meeting, which also included Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, underscored the strong diplomatic and security ties between the two nations as they gathered to observe high-level regional defense cooperation.
The visit coincides with the launch of joint military exercises involving Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which commenced this past Tuesday. According to the Bahrain Defence Force, the primary objective of these drills is to bolster regional military synergy, streamline strategic coordination, and facilitate the exchange of professional expertise. Ultimately, the exercises are designed to rigorously evaluate the operational readiness of GCC forces to ensure they are prepared to address regional security challenges effectively.
