A major rescue operation is currently unfolding on Pakistan’s 8,047-metre Broad Peak following a devastating avalanche that hit an expedition of 10 international climbers. Using aerial drone surveillance, a team led by renowned mountaineer Mingma Gyalje Sherpa and the Pakistan Alpine Club has successfully located seven survivors on the mountainside. While two bodies, identified as Nadhira Al Harthy and Pur Bahadur Gurung, have been recovered, the condition of the remaining group remains unverified as ground teams struggle to reach the high-altitude site.
