Deadly Explosion Rocks Damascus Suburb

Thu, Aug 6, 2026(90d ago)World

A violent explosion struck the city of Jaramana, located on the outskirts of Damascus, resulting in multiple casualties on Thursday. According to reports from Syria's state-run Ekhbariya TV, the blast left several people either dead or wounded as emergency services rushed to the scene.

Local security sources have indicated that the incident appears to be a targeted attack. Preliminary findings suggest that an explosive device was secretly attached to a vehicle, which detonated while in the city. Authorities are currently investigating the blast as the death toll remains a focal point for official state media updates.
