Saudi Arabia Issues Urgent Recall for Over 1,000 RAM Trucks
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has issued a formal recall for 1,262 RAM vehicles, specifically targeting the 1500, 2500, and 5500 models manufactured between 2025 and 2026. This safety action stems from a faulty trailer control module that could trigger lighting and turn signal failures. Beyond electrical issues, authorities warned that the defect poses a significant risk of vehicle detachment while towing, which could lead to dangerous accidents on the road.
Owners are strongly encouraged to verify if their specific vehicle is impacted by visiting the official ministry recall portal, recalls.sa, and entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). If affected, motorists should contact the manufacturer immediately to schedule free remedial repairs. This announcement follows another recent recall in the region involving 6,388 RAM vehicles from the 2020-2025 model years, which were pulled due to front axle brake hose defects that could cause dangerous fluid leaks and reduced stopping power.
