Originally built by Fred Trump in 1940, the house served as the family home until 1950. In recent years, the property experienced a tumultuous journey, shifting from a gimmicky Airbnb filled with presidential memorabilia to a vacant, neglected space. However, developer Tommy Lin recently completed a comprehensive gut renovation, modernizing the five-bedroom, three-bathroom home with high-end features like herringbone floors and a professional chef’s kitchen to revitalize its market appeal.

The identity of the new owner remains anonymous, though their representative, Gerald Magny of RE/MAX Edge, noted that the buyer intends to occupy the residence long-term. Despite the property's unique history often being highlighted in past marketing attempts, Magny emphasized that the sale was driven by the quality of the recent renovations rather than the building's political ties. With all references to its famous former occupant stripped away, the home has finally moved past its eccentric history to begin a new chapter as a private residence.
