Dubai Gold Prices Dip Amid Global Market Anticipation
Gold prices in Dubai saw a modest decline during Wednesday morning's trading session, mirroring a broader cooling trend in global markets. Investors are currently holding their breath ahead of the highly anticipated release of the US Federal Reserveâs meeting minutes, which has put slight downward pressure on the precious metal. Data from the Dubai Jewellery Group shows that 24K gold opened at Dh524.25 per gram, marking a drop from the previous dayâs closing of Dh526.0.
Other popular gold variants also trended downward, with 22K and 21K reaching Dh485.5 and Dh465.5 per gram, respectively. Notably, 18K gold slipped under the psychological threshold of Dh400, settling at Dh399 per gram, while the entry-level 14K variant traded at Dh311.25 per gram. According to market experts, this price movement is largely tied to evolving expectations regarding US monetary policy. Analysts suggest that while the market environment remains generally supportive of gold's long-term growth, the metalâs ability to recover its bullish momentum will hinge on future economic data and the Fed's stance on interest rates.
