Alef Education Sees Strong Profit Growth Driven by Strategic Expansion

Wed, Nov 4, 2026(2h ago)Finance

Alef Education has delivered a solid performance for the first nine months of 2026, reporting a 5.7% rise in net profit to Dh385.4 million. This financial uptick was largely fueled by a consistent increase in revenue, which climbed to Dh605.3 million, alongside a significant 25.4% boost in interest income from fixed deposits and lower amortisation costs. With a debt-free balance sheet and cash reserves of Dh429.6 million, the company continues to demonstrate financial resilience even after paying out Dh212.8 million in interim dividends to its shareholders.

The company’s growth is anchored by its long-term partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek) and a successful expansion of its service offerings, which saw a 40.7% surge in revenue from IT support and services. CEO Geoffrey Alphonso credited the steady results to effective cost management and the ongoing success of their digital platforms, which now support over 2.3 million students across roughly 21,000 schools. Looking forward, Alef Education remains optimistic about its 2026 outlook, projecting continued revenue and profit growth as it actively pursues new commercial opportunities throughout the GCC, Africa, and Central Asia while maintaining its commitment to a 90% dividend payout policy.
