Aldar Makes Strategic Move into Sharjah with Dh1.1 Billion Investment
Abu Dhabi’s property giant, Aldar, has officially made its debut in the Sharjah real estate market through a landmark Dh1.1 billion agreement with Arada. The deal involves the acquisition of nine residential buildings within the sprawling Aljada master-planned community. This forward purchase arrangement adds over 1,100 high-quality residential units to Aldar’s growing portfolio, with the handover of the properties slated for the final quarter of 2029. This strategic move significantly boosts Aldar’s "develop-to-hold" investment pipeline to Dh21 billion, marking a major milestone in the company’s regional diversification strategy.
The partnership underscores a shared vision for the future of Sharjah’s property sector, with executives from both companies expressing confidence in the emirate's long-term growth potential. For Aldar, Aljada serves as an ideal entry point, offering modern, community-focused living that caters to long-term renters and end-users. Meanwhile, Arada continues to solidify Aljada’s status as a premier mixed-use destination, which is ultimately expected to house 25,000 units across its massive 2.2 million-square-metre footprint. As the development continues to integrate more commercial and retail amenities like the Madar Mall, this collaboration is set to become a cornerstone of the ongoing development of Sharjah’s urban landscape.
