Emaar’s Strong Nine-Month Growth Driven by Robust Property Sales
Emaar Properties has delivered an impressive financial performance for the first nine months of 2026, reporting an 18 percent increase in pre-tax net profit to Dh19.8 billion. This growth was largely propelled by a surge in property sales, consistent construction milestones, and steady contributions from its recurring income assets. Total revenue for the period climbed to Dh37.5 billion, marking a 13 percent year-on-year improvement. With property sales hitting Dh34.7 billion and a healthy revenue backlog of Dh158.8 billion, the developer remains well-positioned for sustained earnings in the coming years. Founder Mohamed Alabbar attributed these results to the company's commitment to quality construction, timely residential handovers, and the strategic management of its expansive project portfolio.
The company’s UAE operations remain the cornerstone of its success, generating Dh26.2 billion in sales and significantly boosting the performance of its development arm. While property sales drove the bulk of the growth, Emaar’s diversified portfolio also saw steady activity in retail and hospitality. The shopping mall division enjoyed strong occupancy rates of 98 percent, further bolstered by the expansion of offerings at Dubai Mall. Although the hospitality sector faced some headwinds due to shifting international visitor trends, domestic demand helped stabilize results. Looking forward, Emaar intends to leverage its vast land bank and strong project pipeline to maintain momentum, balancing new market launches with a disciplined focus on asset performance and project delivery.
